Candon played three seasons for the Wildcats before transfering to Topsail High School in Hampstead, North Carolina for his senior season. Candon holds many records for the red and black and he scored almost 1,500 points in his time as a Wildcat. For his career Candon scored over 2,000 points. Candon was awarded a full-scholarship to play for the Division 1, Marist University Red Foxes.
