TWIN VALLEY WILDCAT BASKETBALL
The Wildcats had the best season of their short history. The season was highlighted by a trip to the Barre Auditorium, a victory in the final game of the regular seaosn over the Proctor Phantoms to snap the Phantoms 49 game

winning streak and an overall record of 19 wins and 4 losses. The 19 wins are the most by any Twin Valley team. The Wildcats season came to an end when the Lake Region Rangers defeated the Twin Valley in the Division

Candon Rusin led the Wildcats in scoring and was named the VBCA Vermont Player of the Year, as well as to Vermont's Dream Dozen team as one of the state's top underclassmen. He also was named to the Marble Valley League first team. Sophomore guard Scott Hayford and senior center Ian Marquis were named to the second team. In addition, Rusin also became the third player in school history to score 1,000 career points, joining his sister Corey Rusin and Wildcat all-star Dave Rosso. The Wildcats also won their first Green Mountain Christmas tournament title by defeating Green Mountain and Thetford.
The Wildcats had contributions from many players this season, including seniors Corey Colford, Derek Cipriano, Ian Marquis, juniors, Candon Rusin, Eric Froment and Joel Adame. The Wildcats also depended on several underclassmen for key contributions, including sophomores Scott Hayford and Skyler Duncan and freshmen, Connor Rusin, Troy Birch and George Molner. The Wildcats will have a strong, core group returning next season and look to be in the hunt for next year's D3 title.
